MonkeysICT — an honest story
Behind MonkeysICT is one person: Joost van ‘t Zand, owner and lead pentester. Dat betekent: je werkt altijd direct met degene die de test ook daadwerkelijk uitvoert. Geen overdracht naar een junior, geen ruis in de communicatie.
Joost began his IT career with websites and broad systems, but quickly specialised in offensive cybersecurity. Today, MonkeysICT focuses entirely on penetration testing for SMEs, SaaS companies, healthcare institutions and government organisations.
Certificeringen
Joost keeps his knowledge current through hands-on certifications — not paper qualifications, but exams where you actually have to break into systems:
- OSCP — Offensive Security Certified Professional. De meest erkende hands-on pentestcertificering. 24 uur lang inbreken in een geïsoleerd netwerk, gevolgd door een technisch rapport.
- OSWE — Offensive Security Web Expert. Advanced web application security, focused on source code review and finding vulnerabilities in complex applications.
- OSEP — Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester. Advanced techniques: evasion, post-exploitation, Active Directory attacks.
- eWPT — eLearnSecurity Web Penetration Tester. Hands-on web pentest certification with an extensive assessment.
- CEH — Certified Ethical Hacker. Broad overview of ethical hacking and offensive techniques.
- Pentest+ — CompTIA Pentest+. Infrastructure- and compliance-focused penetration testing.
The advantage of a one-person company
At larger agencies, a junior or mid-level tester does most of the hours and a senior only reviews the report. At MonkeysICT, Joost personally performs the entire test — from reconnaissance to reporting. That delivers a deeper, more consistent result, and direct communication for questions or findings.
Our approach
- Scope and approach are always documented in writing beforehand
- For a critical finding, you’re notified the same day — not just in the final report
- Reports include both a management summary and technical detail with reproduction steps
- A retest after remediation is available (optional, priced separately)
